About

Sound Splash

Soundsplash - one of New Zealand’s pioneer summer festivals - was added to the 116 Group’s long and growing list of music events in 2018 when promoters Pato Alvarez and Mitch Lowe bought 50 per cent of Raglan's renowned festival. The pair run the event alongside long-time organisers Brian Ruawai and Naomi Tuao and together, they’ve seen Soundsplash expand to the South Island, now being held simultaneously in Raglan and Timaru. Soundsplash has hosted acts such as Six60, Drax Project, Shapeshifter, Teeks, Ocean Alley, Sticky Fingers and The Black Seeds among the many over the years, with many more quality acts to follow for years to come. In 2021, the boutique festival celebrates 20 years - a milestone for the all-inclusive event to be proud of.
