The name Pato Entertainment is associated with some of New Zealand’s largest and longest-running festivals. Under the Pato Entertainment banner falls the largest reggae festival in the Southern Hemisphere, One Love, New Zealand’s largest summer festival Bay Dream as well as music events that attract the world’s biggest current and legacy acts. These include A Summer’s Day Disco; A Summer’s Day Live; Good Vibes; Storm the Gates; Le Currents; First We Eat; Soundsplash - on top of hundreds of tours each year - Ben Harper, Matt Corby and Bryan Adams among the acts. Through these events, Pato Entertainment pumps millions of dollars into the New Zealand economy, helping to strengthen the events and entertainment industry. Owned by Pato Alvarez, Pato Entertainment is also heavily involved in supporting the community, helping to position Pato’s hometown of Tauranga as New Zealand’s event capital and charity efforts. Although Pato Entertainment hosts some of the biggest music events in New Zealand, one of his favourites is the annual Pato Entertainment Kids’ Day Out, which is a family-friendly event that celebrates live music put on at no cost for the thousands of attendees as a way to give back to the Tauranga community.
